U.S. Green Building Council
USGBC Green Advantage® for Building‐related Practitioners
Green Advantage® is an environmental certification for building‐related practitioners – primarily contractors, subcontractors and trades people. Workshop covers the current green building principles, materials, and techniques that are required knowledge to successfully pass the Green Advantage® Certification Exam.

You are invited to choose a variety of educational sessions, all free and on the CPCC campus alongside the festival. More information will be added about the classes along with specific times closer to the festival date. Some classes will be taught for multiple sessions, others only one. Space is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

CPCC Wildlife Habitats for Beginners with Debbie Foster
This workshop is designed for educators, gardeners, birders and wildlife enthusiasts. Learn how to have your yard or schoolyard certified as a wildlife habitat by the North Carolina Wildlife Federation and the National Wildlife Federation. This free Workshop focus will be how to use native plants to attract butterflies, birds, reptiles, amphibians and small mammals. Sessions include demonstrations and outside tour of the CPCC Central Campus Certified Wildlife Habitat. One lucky class member will receive a free copy of "National Wildlife Federation Attracting Birds, Butterflies & Backyard Wildlife" by David Mizejewski.
